Up Burj Khalifa...World's tallest tower

Pictures by Edmund Smith-Asante. All Rights Reserved ©

On February 27, 2020, I had the opportunity to go up the 163-storey Burj Khalifa, the world's tallest tower in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.

It took just 77 seconds to reach the observatory on the 125th floor with the lift. The view from the observatory was just spectacular.

Below are some images captured 828 metres (2,716ft) above sea level and the precincts of the tower.

Reminiscing Delft, The Netherlands

Pictures by Edmund Smith-Asante. All Rights Reserved (C)

In June, 2013, I had the opportunity to visit Delft, a canal-ringed city in western Netherlands, which is known as the manufacturing base for Delftware, a hand-painted blue-and-white pottery.

The visit was to attend the first ever international Water Integrity Forum organised by the Water Integrity Network (WIN), in collaboration with the Water Governance Centre (WGC) and the UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, to take stock of the progress made in addressing corruption in the provision of water.

During the conference I made shared knowledge on the state of water provision in Ghana and the work of the Ghana Watsan Journalists Network which I represented.

Below are some images captured by #Edmages of the city and during the conference.
