2nd View of Canton Tower from Guangzhou's Pearl River

Pictures by Edmund Smith-Asante. All Rights Reserved (C)

It was originally not part of our itinerary in Guangzhou, the capital of China's Guangdong Province, to go on a cruise on the Pearl River to behold the city's glory and splendor at night. More so when the team of African journalists attending a Belt and Road News Network (BRNN) workshop arrived in the commercial city very drained on Tuesday, September 24, 2019.

But be that as it may, that last minute decision gave me a second opportunity to view the Canton Tower and other magnificent buildings glow at night.

The lenses of #Edmages captured some awe-inspiring shots that are bound to bring out an involuntary wow! from your throat.

What a Robotic welcome

A pleasant surprise awaited 54 senior journalists from Africa and Latin America who are attending the first ever Belt and Road News Network (BRNN) workshop in China. Guess what! As the participants got to the venue for the opening at the Communications University of China (CUC), Convention Centre, four robots which were lined up did a choreographed dance and sang a welcome song to the admiration of all. Some pictures were captured by Edmages.

Ghana's Women in Sanitation Management

Pictures by Edmund Smith-Asante. All Rights Reserved (c)

If the fact that in almost every home in Ghana it is the women who manage waste is anything to go by, then perhaps we should let the women lead the charge in taking Ghana out of its sanitation woes.
Some women are already occupying key positions in the country's sanitation sector.

It is always good to appreciate family and show those close to you that you care. The children of a very good friend planned a good coup against her and roped me in. It was her birthday yesterday and they really surprised mummy who is still not out of shock. Cheers to long life Yvvie!
Edmages was there to capture some moments. Enjoy them.
