On Friday, March 25, 2022, staff of the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL), climaxed their Ghana Month celebration with games played locally such as Oware, ampe, ludo, draughts (dammy), to ma tu, cards (spar), scrabble and skipping among others. Local refreshments were also served.

To do that, staff did not only turn up looking sporty in jerseys of local football clubs, but also donned replica Black Stars jerseys in support of the team, which was incidentally playing its first leg of the world cup qualifier against the Super Eagles of Nigeria at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi. The match ended in a 0-0 draw.

Well the Black Stars play their second leg against the Super Eagles today in Nigeria today, and what better way of throwing our support behind the team than showcasing some images captured during last Friday's GCGL games.

We are still in the Ghana Month, the month that a new nation Ghana, was birthed, after gaining independence from Britain.

In commemoration of Ghana's independence on March 6, 1957, the Graphic Communications Group Limited, has lined up series of activities involving its staff.

On Friday, March 11, 2022, the activity was dubbed "Rep your region", and rep their regions the staff did, coming to work beautifully dressed in attires of all colours from the 16 regions of Ghana.

#Edmages presents to you some of the images captured of staff adorned in or spotting some of the lovely indigenous and traditional apparels Ghana can boast of. Indeed, Ghana is beautiful!

Various awards were also presented to the best dressed staff and departments, after a catwalk by staff at the company's headquarters in Accra.

Ghana@65...Just because it is Ghana Month

Ghana gained its independence from the British on March 6, 1957, becoming the first African country south of the Sahara to do so. Subsequently Ghana became the torch bearer in Africa, leading other countries to the path of independence.

This year Ghana attains 65 years since that fateful day that the country was declared independent by its first President, Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah at the old polo grounds in Accra.

To commemorate the month of March dubbed Ghana Month because it is considered the country's birth month, employees of the Graphic Communications Group Limited have decided to go Ghanaian or African in the choice of clothes to work.

#Edmages yesterday, March 3, captured some workers going about their duties in their African prints and shares some of them with you.
