Last Sunday's (July 26, 2026) experience at the Christ Temple East auditorium of the church at Teshie in Accra was climaxed by special guest artistes Team Eternity. When they mounted the stage the audience literally went ecstatic.

The programme was interspersed with a solo and some dance acts from the church's dramatic arts department.

There was also an interesting quiz session which required members of the audience to answer some trivia about the upcoming Greater Works Conference.

After the Hymnal Choir took their turn to minister to the audience came in the official ICGC National Reggae Choir, the Accra South District Choir, hoisting the national as well as ICGC flags, instantly making the entire auditorium go irie.

They got a large number of the attendees jumping, lifting up their hands in the air and singing along with their Jah Rastafari vibes that included some popular old local as well as foreign tunes. 

With the atmosphere charged the Accra West District Choir was ushered in after the visit to the Caribbean. From their repertoire they released soulful contemporary tunes that still got patrons dancing last Sunday during the ICGC's annual Night of Choirs.

The four District Choirs of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC), comprising Accra East, Accra North, Accra South and Accra West in that order, gave good account of themselves last Sunday during the church's annual Night of Choirs by serving various hot and titillating genres of music.

The Gen zees (New Breed Choir) were the John the Baptists before the district choirs took over the night.

Although it has been named the Night of Choirs among the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) fraternity, last Sunday's (July 26, 2026) experience at the Christ Temple East auditorium of the church at Teshie in Accra could be christened in other ways.

It could as well be called a Night of Worship and Praise or a Night of Yellow Balloons, because both were in plenty supply at the 4-hr annual festival of music put together by the ICGC to precede the Greater Works Conference.

And what a night it was! The Mass Praise & Worship Team of the conference put everyone in the mood of adoration, while the four District Choirs - Accra East, Accra North, Accra South and Accra West gave good accounts of themselves dishing out various genres of music.

The Gen zees (New Breed Choir) set the tone and gave an indication of what to expect and the Hymnal Mass Choir as well as the dramatic arts department of the church and a soloist also spiced up the evening.

However, the programme got to its climax as special guest artistes Team Eternity mounted the stage and the audience went ecstatic.

The emcees for the night, popular actor Adjetey Anang aka Pusher and his counterpart Bernice steered the event beautifully.

The surprise 70th birthday celebration put together by the celebrant's wife, Beatrice and children, attracted his siblings and very old friends and acquaintances who had all agreed to be present to honour Rev. William Ofori-Adu, due to the very cordial and personal relationship they had with him.

It is good to be good and selfless. That was the message that was echoed and re-echoed in the hall of the 3 Dees Event Centre at Tema Community 3, where family, friends and loved ones had gathered to surprise a Man of God, Rev. William Ofori-Adu, affectionately called Ps. Willie.

The surprise celebration well put together by the celebrant's wife, Beatrice and children, attracted his siblings and very old friends and acquaintances who had all agreed to be present to honour Rev. Willie due to the very cordial and personal relationship they had with him.

And it was indeed beautiful seeing the utter 'shockprise' on the face of Rev. Willie who clearly had no clue that his own family had successfully planned a 'coup' against him. Go through some of the images captured to get the whole picture of the surprise party, as seen by #Edmages.

ICGC Holy Ghost Temple @ 30 Health Walk

To kickstart the church's 30th anniversary celebration, the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Holy Ghost Temple (HGT) embarked on an 8.5km health walk in the environs of the church at Adenta/Frafraha.

The walk involving members of the church in their anniversary 'T' shirts, began at 5:30 a.m. from the church premises on Saturday, January 31, 2026. It was on the theme; "Celebrating 30 Years of Grace, Power, Impact."

The month of March is being celebrated as Ghana Month because it is the month in which the country attained independence.

To celebrate Ghana's 69th Independence anniversary which fell on March 6, 2026 and also the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Holy Ghost Temple (HGT), Frafraha in Accra's 30th anniversary, as well as a visit by the Founder and General Overseer of ICGC, congregants were colourfully clad in traditional  attires.

ICGC: 42 Years of Grace, Power, Impact

To celebrate 42 years of the establishment and existence of the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) and the Lord's goodness, members of the church across the world stepped out in style in the church's specially designed cloth.

From a very humble beginning on February 26, 1984, the church has grown into a mega Christian community with branches (Temples) not only across the country, but also across the globe.

All praise and thanks to God for the life of the founding father, Dr Mensa Otabil and all the other pioneers who partnered him to bring the vision to pass.

Dr Maurice Nyamekye celebrates Diamond Jubilee

The celebration was a solemn, yet joyous occasion and the venue was the International Central Gospel Church's (ICGC) Christ Temple East at Teshie in Accra.

It was the 60th Birthday Celebration of Dr Maurice Nyamekye, Director, Lynch Medical Services Ltd. also known as 'Tee' or 'One Love' by close friends and associates, held on Saturday, February 14, 2026 (Valentine's Day or Chocolate Day) depending on your preference.

Dr Nyamekye decided to celebrate his Diamond Jubilee in the House of the Lord with loved ones, and so it was a worship as well as communion service, during which the celebrant and his wife were joined by invited guests to partake in the Lord's supper. So in effect Christ Jesus Himself attended the party.

All clad in white apparels, friends and loved ones took turns to take pictures with the celebrant after the church service. Check below for some of the memorable moments captured by #Edmages.

Stacy @ 21 surprise celebration

The first daughter from the union between Edmund and Felicia, turned the ripe age of 21 on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. To God be the glory.

The parents decided to surprise her on campus at a meeting with her Joyful Way family in the evening of her birthday, which was almost blown away at the last minute when the daughter saw the parents. Thank God though, that there were more surprises than the small slip before the surprise was pulled off.

The emotions of the celebrant said it all as the surprises unfolded. We are thankful to all the collaborators who assisted to pull this off. Special thanks to Bit Bites for the special drinks to mark the day. May God surprise all of you even as you helped surprise Eustacia (Stacy).

As part of the 30th Anniversary celebration of the church and of God's goodness, the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Holy Ghost Temple, Frafraha, on Friday, February 13, 2026 held a Music Night and what a night it was! It was on the theme; "30 years of Grace, Power, Impact."

Headlining the bill were Kofi Owusu Peprah and Pastor Edwin Dadson who took the night to dizzy heights. Featuring before then were the church's Praise Team, Children's Choir, Omega Generation Choir, New Breed Choir, Chorale Choir and Contemporary Choir. Also featuring was the dramatic arts department of the church.

On Thursday, November 13, 2025, the Editor, Graphic, Theophilus Yartey, held a reception for awardees from the Graphic stable who were honoured at the 29th GJA Awards held at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi.

It was a time to make merry, jubilate, extend congratulatory messages, eat, dance and party. Thank you and God bless you, I say, on behalf of all the awardees, Mr Yartey.

Graphic sends off 2 editors

The day was Thursday, December 18, 2025 and the year that the Daily Graphic and by extension, the Graphic Communications Group Limited (GCGL), turned 75 years.

Two journalists and editors, Edmund Smith-Asante (Regional/Supplements) and Timothy Koku Gobah (sub-editor), who had paid their dues to GCGL, bowed out of active service with the nation Ghana's premier brand, the Daily Graphic, after serving for 12 years and over two decades respectively, in various capacities.

The Editorial Department held a send-off for the stalwarts of the inky fraternity and said ayekoo to them for serving the Graphic brand to the end.

Timo and I are very grateful to the Editorial Team for pulling this off and we ask for God's blessings for everyone who contributed to making the event a memorable one.
