Pictures by Edmund Smith-Asante. All Rights Reserved (c)

Mr Alexander Clottey, Graphic Communications Group Limited's (GCGL) librarian had to say bye-bye after 40 years service to the company and to Ghana by extension as he had attained the compulsory retiring age of 60. This means he started working with the company at the very young age of 20.

He was diligent and good at what he did and he will be missed for his invaluable service to journalists, other staff and guests who visited the library to do research. Three cheers to him.
Captured below are 40 shots of some final moments with staff on Friday, March 15, 2019.

Mr Nyarko bows out

All Rights Reserved (C) Pictures by Edmund Smith-Asante

Whatever goes up must come down according to the law of gravity and whatever begins must end according to the law of nature. So it was that after serving the Graphic Communications Group Ltd (GCGL) and by extension Ghana, Mr Ebenezer Nyarko today said bye after attaining the retiring age and after working for 38 years.
It was a mixture of emotions but what will come will come. We wish Mr Ebenezer Nyarko aka Katawere, aka Watchman and many other aliases very well and a very well deserved and pleasant retirement. The newsroom will not be the same without you. Congrats from all!!!
Below, 38 pictures tell the farewell story.

When Graphic staff stormed Charles Andoh, Audrey Aryeetey's wedding

Pictures by Edmund Smith-Asante. All rights reserved (c)

It was GCGL's last wedding of the year. It was therefore, not surprising that staff turned up in their large numbers to witness the marriage ceremony between Mirror Reporter Charles Andoh and Linda Audrey Aryeetey of the Ghanaian Times. The memories were captured by my lenses.
