On Wednesday, October 15, Ghana joined the global community to mark Global Handwashing Day, which is a day set aside every year to emphasise on the importance of washing the hands with soap, especially at critical times such as after using the toilet and before handling food.
The theme was, "Choose Handwashing, Choose Health” and the venue was the Bukom Square in the Odododiodio constituency, Accra.
