Born on September 16, 1950 to DCOP (Retd) Joseph Gabriel Smith and Gladys Dokua Smith, both of blessed memory, Julius Holdbrook Smith affectionately called 'Jaywey' and 'July' by his siblings and Uncle Julius by his nephews and nieces, was called to his maker on Tuesday, July 28, 2026.

A retired broadcaster with the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) and a presenter on Uniiq Fm, the funeral service for the late Julius which was held at the Lashibi Funeral Home in Accra was attended by family members, friends, colleagues and sympathisers.
