Transportation in Dakar

BY EDMUND SMITH-ASANTE

One of the amazing sights of Dakar is the use of horse-drawn carts to transport goods. During my visit in the second week of April 2013, this was a common sight in the Senegalese capital.
To transport or ferry passengers however, the main means of transport, it was observed, were two bus types - one white (the big ones), and the other yellow (the small or mini buses).
Taxis painted in yellow and black, could also be seen on the roads.

Small colourful buses can be seen on most streets
